It’s hard to believe our newest family addition is 3 weeks old.  We have all been adjusting well, and I must say he is such a sweet little guy.  One of our concerns as new moms is that the weight needs to come back off.

This has been a concern for me as I walked out of the hospital weighing more than when I went in!  This was a shock to me as this is the first time that has happened.  I know that it’s mainly because of all the fluids I was on due to the emergency c-section, but it was still a shock.

Detox Water with Cucumber, Lemons & Limes

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of fresh lemon
  • 4 slices of fresh lime
  • 8 slices of fresh cucumber
  • ice
  • water

Instructions

  1. Fill a pitcher half way with ice cubes.
  2. Put the lemons, limes and cucumber slices in the pitcher.
  3. Push the lemons, limes and cucumbers down into the pitcher.
  4. Pour water into the pitcher.
Having great flavored water like this detox water not only helps give my body the essential things to keep it going but also helps me drink more water daily.  Nursing a newborn and trying to gently lose weight all require more water than what I’m used to drinking, it might as well do double duty!
