School Lunch Ideas – Melon Smoothie

**This post on School Lunch Ideas was brought to you by my partnership with Hamilton Beach.  I was provided a Wave Action Blender to facilitate this post, but the thoughts, opinions, and ideas are my own.**

School is right around the corner, and I understand that a lot of us enjoy smoothies as a summer treat.  However, why should smoothies end just because summer is coming to a close? I think smoothies should stick around year-round! Smoothies can easily be packed full of good-for-you ingredients that will keep the kids going throughout the school day.

Take the worry out of back to school with this melon smoothie recipe. School lunch ideas are easy when you have easy to serve smoothies in the freezer!Pin

This year as you are starting to pack school lunches, keep in mind how much your kids love smoothies and how easy they are to make.  With the help of the Wave Action Blender from Hamilton Beach, I’m able to quickly make large batches of my kids favorite smoothies and freeze them in pouches.  Grab a pouch from the freezer in the morning, and it not only works as an ice pack for the kids lunch, but as it slowly thaws, it’s the perfect texture at lunchtime for an end of lunch treat.

I love the fact that I don’t have to “think” about what to pack them that’s healthy! Grabbing a pouch from the freezer is seriously a way to solve this issue. I already have something healthy for my kids’ lunch, and to me, that’s priceless.
